Environmental Protection Acknowledgment
Arctic is aware of the importance of conducting operations in a manner such as to prevent damage or pollution to
our environment. To accomplish this we must ensure that all of our equipment is maintained in sound operating condition
to prevent leaks, discharges or ruptures which would cause spillage of fuels, lubricants or other products into
the environment, whether it be airborne, ground surface or water.
In the event that a spill or discharge ever occurs, it is imperative that Arctic personnel are prepared to handle
the situation. This can be accomplished by securing the source of the leak, if it can be done without exposing
anyone to any danger or hazardous materials, containing the spill by dikeing around the spill with soil or using
containment booms, commercial absorbents or any other suitable material that is capable of stopping the flow of
the spilled product. After this is accomplished, Arctic employees must then report the spill or discharge to the
appropriate personnel of the customer we are working for, or, to their immediate supervisor if working on our premises.
In any situation where an environmental mishap occurs, Arctic and it's employees must stand ready to assist, in
any way possible, to bring the situation to a successful conclusion.
This policy will be communicated to all employees and supervisors so that a clear understanding of it is maintained
at all times. Any violations of this policy will be cause for disciplinary action. |
