| Tool joint rebuilding is another special service provided by Arctic Pipe. Rebuilding consists of applying a mild steel wire and appropriate flux mixture to the outside diameter of the tool joint body to increase the O.D. dimension and therefore returning used tool joints to usable condition. Arctic Pipe carefully controls the conditions of the rebuild procedures so as to maintain the highest quality. A continuous flow of water at a temperature of 145 - 150 degrees Fahrenheit is applied through the tube during the process to insure the correct pipe temperature. Stress relieving is utilized to control critical temperature requirements. Hardness is maintained at Rockwell-C 32-38. The rebuild process utilizes the latest and finest welding equipment as well as qualified technicians for the maximum quality rebuilding available. |
